Mark your calendars: The Taste of Buffalo, the nation’s largest two-day food festival, will serve up a diverse range of cuisine to thousands of hungry patrons who will converge on downtown Buffalo July 7th and 8th, starting at 11 a.m. each day.

Admission is free and food items cost between two and ten tickets ($1 and $5). Tickets are valued at 50-cents each and are sold in $5 sheets at three ticket booths located throughout the event.

Fifty-three restaurants along with six local wineries will be onsite this year for the Taste’s 35th birthday celebration, including six new eateries and one new winery.

“Buffalonians take food and traditions that involve food very seriously, from Italian and Polish dishes that early immigrants brought with them from Europe to traditional American barbecue, as well as cuisines like authentic Mexican, Burmese and Thai. The diversity of the Buffalo food scene is something to be celebrated because it mirrors the beautiful diversity of people in Western New York,” said Rich McDermott, 2018 Taste of Buffalo Chair. “The Taste of Buffalo’s 35th birthday is an opportunity to showcase both our food festival and the energizing resurgence that our city is experiencing. We invite you to join us this July to see – and more importantly, taste – for yourself.”

Organizers see a parallel between the renaissance of the area and the Taste’s year in and year out success.

"It's exciting to watch the Taste of Buffalo continue to grow each year along with Buffalo’s rejuvenation. Our event continues to be a tradition for not only Western New Yorkers, but for people visiting Buffalo from all over the world," McDermott added.
