Domenic Cortese

Domenic is the President of Cortese Construction Services Corporation located in Depew, New York, specializing in residential renovations, additions, kitchens and baths as well as handyman services and disaster restoration services and sunroom additions. The business, founded by Domenic’s dad and uncle in 1951, will celebrate its 65th year in business in 2016. Cortese Brothers completed $4.5million dollars in residential renovation projects last year.
Cortese Construction has won design awards in 1997 for the best kitchen and bath in the United States by Better Homes and Garden Magazine. It was the first time in the magazine’s history that a kitchen and a bath in the same house both won first place.
Domenic is graduated from Canisius College ’78 with a BA in Political Science and International Relations. He is a past-president of the Alumni Association. Domenic also has completed the Center for Entrepreneurial program from the University Of Buffalo School Of Management (2006).
Domenic is a Leadership Buffalo graduate (’92), a Forty Under Forty recipient (’96) and lives in Clarence, NY where he is active in the Clarence Rotary Club where he has served as club president and as a District Assistant Governor. He is also a board member for the Brothers of Mercy Foundation Board and is active in his parish, Our Lady of Peace, where he has served as Parish Council President. He and his wife, Diane along with his three children, Philip, 33, Nicholas, 30 and Michelle, 27 were honored as the Rotary Family of the Year (2001).Domenic and Diane have two grandchildren, Giovanni, 4 and Giuliana, 1.  Domenic was named Clarence Rotarian of the Year for 2007.Domenic and Diane where also honored in January 2003 by the Clarence Chamber of Commerce as their Citizens of the Year, and last year as family of the year from the National Conference of Just Communities.
In 2012 Cortese Construction Services received the Buffalo Niagara Business Ethics Award.
Domenic was inducted into the Williamsville South High School Wall of Fame, November 2011
