Woman Arraigned in Friday Stabbing

Charged with murder in attack outside house pary

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) 19-year-old Areyona Favors of Buffalo was arraigned before Buffalo City Court Judge Debra Givens yesterday on one count of Murder in the Second Degree.

She is accused of stabbing 21-year-old NaKara Morgan of Buffalo multiple times at a house party on Schreck Avenue in the City of Buffalo late Friday night. 

The victim later died from her injuries at ECMC.

Favors is scheduled to return for a felony hearing on Thursday, August 23 at 9:30 a.m. She remains remanded without bail.

If convicted on the charge, Favors faces 25 years to life in prison.
