Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Snow will develop across Western New York through midweek and a Winter Weather Advisory is posted for ALL of WNY late Tuesday through early Thursday.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM TUESDAY TO 2 AM
EDT THURSDAY
...

* WHAT...Snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow
accumulations of 5 to 8 inches are expected.

* WHERE...Niagara, Orleans, Northern Erie, and Genesee counties.
Greatest snow amounts east of Buffalo and Niagara Falls.

* WHEN...From 6 PM Tuesday to 2 AM EDT Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions at
times with snow covered roads and reduced visibility. Winds
gusting as high as 40 mph will cause areas of blowing and
drifting snow, mainly in open areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Periods of snow and blowing snow will result in snow covered
roads and limited visibilities. Slow down and use caution while
driving.
