Mayor Making Proposal to Common Council

Mayor Byron Brown will be presenting BQ Energy to the Common Council as the designated developer for a solar energy plant within the City of Buffalo.  The project location would be on Abby Street in the South Park neighborhood.  The aim is to transform a former landfill into a 5 Megawatt plant that will generate enough carbon-free electricity to power up to 750 homes.  The project is expected to create 70 construction jobs through local contractors.

Canadian-based Thinking Robot Studios Inc. has acquired a 22-acre development site at Buffalo Lakeside Commerce Park.  TRS is a 3D printing and medical implant manufacturing solutions company.  Purchase price for the property was reportedly $935,000.  

Dr. Todd Shatkin and the Aesthetic Associates Centre will host a Halloween Candy buy back event on Monday, November 4th.  During regular business hours from 9am-5pm, kids will receive $1 per pound (up to five pounds) for all unopened, uneaten candy.  The Aesthetic Associates Centre is at 2500 Kensington Avenue in Amherst.

Local marketing agency 19 IDEAS has promoted Vince Marcello to the position of Digital Director.
