A report by electrek indicates Tesla will lay off about 9% of its workforce.  This comes on the heels of last month's announcement by Tesla CEO Elon Musk that he would "flatten management and restructure the company in order to achieve profitability during the second half of the year."  Business First says it's unclear how that might impact employment at the Tesla operation in Buffalo.

Also from Business First, The Amherst Planning Board meets on June 21st with Delta Sonic and Benderson Development representatives.  They will review a proposed car wash and convenience store at the former Menne Nursery site on Niagara Falls Boulevard.  It's the final step before construction can begin.

Northwest Bancshares, Inc. has merged with Donegal Financial Services Corp. in an $85 million cash and stock deal.  Donegal is based in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.  Northwest will add 10 more offices there - giving it a total of 16.

Own NY Real Estate has agreed to become the exclusive real estate partner of Canisius Athletics.  Own NY will also be the presenting sponsor of Canisius’ “Employee of Distinction” Award, an honor that is presented monthly throughout the academic year by the human resources department.
