Sunoco LLC has purchased another gas station/convenience store operation at 727 Maple Road in Amherst.  Business First reports the sale price was $462,000.  In all, Sunoco laying out $1.054 million for three sites:  the one in Amherst and others on Millersport Highway in Amherst and State Road in Boston.

Erie County Medical Center Corporation announced that the hospital in 2018 continued to see a record number of patients.  For the first time, inpatient hospital visits exceeded 20,000.  Among other achievements in 2018: a 6.7 % inpatient increase, a 5.7% increase in total surgeries, and 11% increase in outpatient surgeries.

ALEX AND ANI will be hosting a special grand opening event to celebrate their new store at Walden Galleria on Saturday, January 12th from 10am-1pm.  The store is located on the lower level next to Zara.

Tops Friendly Markets has hired Jessica Albano as its new ecommerce marketing specialist.

Joy Kuebler Landscape Architect, PC has announced the appointment of Eve Holberg, AICP, as a planner and project manager.

Hillel of Buffalo, a Jewish organization at the University at Buffalo committed to strengthening Jewish life, has announced the members of its Board of Directors.  Board officers include President, Dr. Jeffrey Lackner; Vice Presidents, Hadar Borden and Marc Adler; and Treasurer, Dr. Jeffrey Goldberg.  The remaining board members are Dr. Philip Glick; Dr. Iris Danziger; Rabbi Alex Lazarus-Klein; Laura Hemlock; and Dr. Alex Green.  Rabbi Sara Rich is the organization's executive director.
