Park Grove Realty of Rochester has been given approval for its $16.5 million project to convert the former Iroquois Door Co. on Exchange Street into a multi-use building.  The Buffalo Planning Board signing off on the proposal, which would create 60 market-rate apartments, office space and a 267-seat restaurant.  The plan is to have it open by next summer.

Business First reporting increased construction costs have driven the plan to convert the Old First Ward Barcalounger plant into apartments up by 38%.  Developer Karl Frizlen says the Barcalo Buffalo LLC project now has a $35 million price tag.  The site is at Louisiana and Kentucky Streets.

For the second time, Flying Bison Brewery is collaborating with Paula's Donuts on a special brew.  The new product - Holy Cannoli Blonde Ale - is available starting today in Flying Bisons' tasting room at 840 Seneca Street.  Last fall, the two whipped up Paula’s Peanut Stick Porter.

Shares in Asia fell today as conflicting reports are raising concerns over the likely outcome of a trade deal to be signed by the U.S. and China.
