Contemplating Renovations

A year and a half after its move near downtown, Oishei Children’s Hospital is seeking to make changes in order to expand access to endoscopy services.  Business First reports the state Health Department filing by Kaleida Health calls for using a shelled space intended for future build-out.  Total cost is estimated at $375,403, including equipment and construction.

Ilio DiPaolo has purchased a building next to his Blasdell restaurant at 15 Miller Avenue for a reported $90,000.  In the 2-story building, DiPaolo plans to run the catering and retail sales operations out of the first floor.  Plans for the second floor have not been firmed up.

Catholic Health is seeking requests for its 2019 Community Benefit Grants.  Non-profit, community-based organizations that serve the poor and disadvantaged by addressing unmet health needs are invited to submit a grant application.  Each project or initiative can be awarded for up to $10,000 for the grant period, which runs from July 2019 - June 2020.  Friday, May 17th is the application deadline.  For more information, check out today's Buffalo Business Report on-line.  Completed applications can be mailed to Catholic Health, Attn: Sharyl Hendel, 144 Genesee St., Buffalo, NY 14203 or emailed to shendel@chsbuffalo.org.

Genesee Community College plans to renovate five dorms at a cost of  $5.2 million.  Business First notes upgrades include updated technology, suite renovations, safety improvements and better disability access.
