Chefs Shutting Down During Coronavirus Outbreak

The coronavirus is closing down one of Buffalo better known restaurants.  The Billittier Family announcing that effective Saturday April 4th at 8pm, both Chef’s Restaurant in Buffalo and Chef’s On The Go in Amherst will temporarily close for business.  They will reevaluate when to re-open on May 1st.

Gioia Capital has acquired Precision Abrasives.  Business First reports this third acquisition for the investment firm is part of a broader strategy of acquiring small- to mid-sized local companies.  Financial terms were not announced.

A team from Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center has earned a five-year, $14.54 million award from the National Cancer Institute to expand a promising immunotherapy platform.  Funded through the NCI’s Program Project Grant program, this prestigious five-year grant will fund five clinical trials, all focused on a strategy for making some of the most common immunotherapies work for more cancer patients.

Upper Edge Consulting, LLC - a Buffalo based firm that specializes in grant writing and grant advocacy for non-profit, for-profit and municipal clients - has hired Kelly Sheldon as an Account Executive.
