East Asset Management, which is controlled by Kim and Terry Pegula, has finalized a $25 million investment in Rand Capital Corporation.  In exchange, EAM gets approximately 8.3 million shares of Rand common stock.

This morning at 10:30am, Trocaire College dedicates its new $1.68 million Technology Institute located in the college’s extension site in Williamsville.  The new facility includes a computer networking lab, data visualization lab, several computer classrooms, and more.

New this fall, the retail outlets at Niagara Falls Culinary Institute have revised their approach by launching a completely academic model supported by Niagara County Community College.  This all-academic model means that chef instructors at NFCI will be incorporating rotations in the retail outlets as part of the curriculum for students.

Today, the Kaleida Health Foundation presents representatives from Buffalo City Mission with a large donation of personal care items, child-care items and clothing to benefit the mission’s women and children’s shelter, Cornerstone Manor.  The donation comes from hundreds of participating Kaleida employees.
