As of today, all 37 Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries will be closed to the public.  Library material due dates have been extended until April 30th.  The Library expects to make additional announcements sometime today.

Seneca Gaming Corp. has suspended operations at all three of its Western New York casinos.  The gaming facilities are under sovereign control and werent subject to the state restrictions on casinos announced yesterday.  Business First reports that Hamburg Gaming and Buffalo Raceway are shutting down.  Buffalo Raceway hopeful of getting back underway on Saturday, May 2nd.

Business First notes the sale of the Buffalo News to Lee Enterprises Inc. was finalized Monday.  The $140 million deal was announced in January.

Also from Business First - Charlotte’s Web Holdings, a Colorado-based maker of hemp-derived CBD extract products, now has a lab at the Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute facility.  

Invest Buffalo Niagara has hired Kim Grant as the organization’s Vice President of Business Development.
