Jemal Takes Sole Ownership of Boulevard Mall Property

At a cost of $30 million, developer Doug Jemal is now the sole owner of the Boulevard Mall.  He owns the shopping center and an Alberta Drive parcel that houses a Wegmans Food Market and Ashley Furniture store.   Jemal telling Business First the transformation of the mall will not be a quick one, though he expects renovations to start by early next year.  Jemal is currently the Seneca One Tower and former Buffalo Police Department headquarters.

There will be a grand opening and ribbon cutting today for the largest area location of The BFLO Store.  That happens at 7:16pm at the former Sears store within the Eastern Hills Mall.  The festivities run from 5-11pm.

Planet Fitness celebrates the opening of its 100th location at 5pm today at 4295 Transit Road in Williamsville.  ECP – PF Holdings Group Inc. is the franchisee.  Planet Fitness now has 12 franchises in the Western New York region.  

Latus Medical Care, a new innovative primary care practice that will exclusively serve BlueCross BlueShield members, will begin accepting patients in Fall 2019.  The office will be located on Maple Road near Transit in Amherst.

ECMC President & CEO Thomas J. Quatroche Jr., PhD was recently elected to the Board of Directors of America’s Essential Hospitals.

Integer account executive Michael Donovan has been elected president of Buffalo Niagara Sales & Marketing Executives.
