Richs Continues to Grow

Rich Products is celebrating 75 years in business with a trio of recent acquisitions.  The company has purchased Rizzuto Foods, a Pacific Northwest-based leader in pizza dough innovation; Morey’s Seafood International, a major seafood industry player based in Plymouth, Minnesota; and two manufacturing plants from TreeHouse Foods.  No financial terms were publicly announced.

The Martin Group has received a strategic equity investment from Hearst Newspapers.  The investment provides Martin with fuel for growth in Buffalo and beyond, while opening up greater access to Hearst's global reach.

UB has been awarded a five-year, $21.7 million Clinical and Translational Science Award from the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences of the National Institutes of Health.  It's in recognition of the dramatic progress UB and its partners have made since 2015 when UB first received the CTSA.  Renewal of the grant allows researchers and clinicians at UB and its partners to continue to innovate.
