Accounting firms Brock Schechter & Polakoff and Schunk, Wilson & Company will be merging into BS&P. The move is effective December 31.  Schunk Wilson personnel will move into the BS&P offices at 726 Exchange Street, and the firm will continue forward as Brock Schechter & Polakoff.  Once the merger is complete, BS&P will have approximately 70 employees and revenues of approximately $10 million.

Mechanical contractor Mollenberg-Betz Inc. is seeking to expand its operations.  According to Business First, the company is proposing a $2 million expansion project to be reviewed by the Buffalo Planning Board September 9th.  Pending approvals, construction could begin later this fall.  

It's a different story for the last K-Mart in Buffalo.  The store at 1001 Hertel Avenue will go out of business on November 27th.  Business First reports the company sent out WARN notices to 58 workers.

The Central Terminal Restoration Corporation has hired Monica Pellegrino Faix as its new Executive Director.
