The U.S. Department of Defense has given a four-year, $6.42 million Breakthrough Award to a team from Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.  That will fund a clinical trial in patients with brain-metastatic breast cancer.  The phase II trial, slated to open in 2020, would be the first clinical study to assess the effectiveness of a three-pronged strategy combining distinct immunotherapy approaches.

People Inc. has announced an expansion plan to relocate its Elmwood Health Center.  People Inc. has bought a parcel of land at the corner of Elmwood and Hertel Avenues.  The new Elmwood Health Center anticipates an early 2021 opening.

Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP continues to grow.  It has opened an 8th office in Chicago.

John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital has been named an Accredited Center of Care by the Children’s Cardiomyopathy Foundation.

Insyte Consulting has hired Ryan Case as a Business Development Manager and has added Dr. Alan Rae to its Board of Directors.
