The Niagara County Industrial Development Agency has agreed to consider tax breaks that would enable ADJ Machining LLC to purchase a vacant 38,000-square-foot building on Industrial Drive in North Tonawanda. According to Business First, ADJ Machining currently leases a property on Main Street in the City of Tonawanda.

For the 14th consecutive year, Amherst Alarm, Inc. has been ranked in Security Distributing & Marketing Magazine's SDM 100 Report.  Amherst Alarm was cited in multiple categories  - ranking 65th out of 100 national security dealers - up 10 spots from last year.

Researchers at UB have been awarded $1.8 million to develop carbon capture technology.  The team's product testing will be done at the National Carbon Capture Center, a DOE-sponsored research facility in Alabama.   

The Niagara County Workforce Development Board and Niagara’s WorkSourceOne are holding their annual “Lockport Career Fair” on Wednesday, June 19th from 1-3pm.  The career fair will be held at the Best Western Plus at 515 South Transit Street.  More than 55 local businesses are attending.

The Niagara Frontier Publications' Island Dispatch recently celebrated its 75th year in circulation.
