The Bank of Akron is proceeding rapidly with a planned opening for its first Niagara County branch.  According to Business First, construction on the branch in Wilson is already underway.  The bank gained approval for the project earlier this month.  It will be adjacent to Woodcock Brothers Brewing Co. at 638 Lake Street.  The opening date is targeted for mid-October.

Buffalo-based Sonwil Distribution & Logistics has been named to the Inc. 5000 list of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies.

A ribbon-cutting for the newly remodeled Crosby convenience store in East Aurora will be held at 9am today.  The store is at 11566 Big Tree Road - or Route 20A.

True Care Veterinary Hospital of Clarence will be moving to its new location at 10100 Main Street in Clarence and will be ready to provide services as of Monday, September 2nd.  Architectural services were provided by LA Hauer-LaDuca of Clarence.
