The Aloft, a major portion of Ellicott Development’s $75 million 500 Pearl mixed-use project, has officially welcomed its first overnight guests.  Business First reporting that bookings have been strong.  In addition, all 12 apartments have been rented at the 500 Pearl complex - with plans to open a rooftop bar, a bowling alley and an 850-seat special event center shortly.

Also from Business First - Old Navy has signed a long-term lease to occupy 15,000-square-feet in Benderson Development’s Eastgate Plaza.  Old Navy will move into space currently occupied by Dollar Tree - with Dollar Tree moving to a new out parcel this summer.

Niagara Jet Adventures will begin operating as of today.  The jet boat rides take in part of the Niagara River and Niagara River Gorge.  Summer hours of operation are 8am-6pm.

Upstate Niagara Cooperative has completed its acquisition of Climb Your Mountain, Inc.  The yogurt plant is in the Genesee Valley Agri-Business Park in Batavia.  No financial terms were disclosed.

Northwest Bancshares, Inc. announced net income for the quarter ended March 31, 2019 of  twenty-four cents per diluted share.  That matched the return from the same period a year ago.
