The AAA notes that gas prices are hanging in at $2.99 per gallon of unleaded in the Western New York region.  That is unchanged from a week ago.

According to Business First, Five Star Urgent Care has targeted an Amherst site.  Five Star is working with Amherst officials on gaining the necessary approvals for a 3,500-square-foot urgent care center at 3921 Harlem Road near Kensington Avenue. The project will be subject to an Amherst Planning Board site plan review on September 20th. 

Riverside Men’s Shop and S&E Jewelers continue to service the community.  They are together in one location – at 6470 Transit Road, Depew – directly across from Salvatore’s Italian Gardens.

Price Rite Marketplace will serve as the official food sponsor of the new “Fueling Station” located inside the Murchie Family Football Center at UB.

Speaking of UB, the latest U.S. News & World Report college rankings placed UB as the 89th best national university in the U.S. this year.  Business First notes UB also continued to rise in a related group, coming in as the 38th best public university. 

Medaille College will celebrate the groundbreaking for the $4 million Medaille Sports Complex at Buffalo Color Park today.
