The AAA pegs the current average for a gallon of unleaded gas in the region at $2.65.  That's down a penny from the cost last week.

Astronics Corporation is making some major acquisitions.  According to Business First, the East Aurora company will buy Telefonix and Product Development Technologies LLC. for $104 million.  That deal still requires regulatory approval.

The Buffalo Niagara International Trade Gateway Organization holds its 2018 Logistics Outlook today from 3-6pm at the Buffalo Marriott Niagara.  Josh Creasman, vice president of global supply chain for New Era Cap, will be the keynote speaker.
Independent insurance broker Lawley has added Bob Overhoff, Jr. as Loss Control Manager.

Visit Buffalo Niagara recently won two awards from the New York State Tourism Industry Association.  VBN won the Tourism Excellence Award for Visitor Service for its Buffalo Niagara University Program.  It also earned the regional level Tourism Excellence Award for Tourism Marketing for its Buffalo Niagara Garden Tourism Initiative.
