The AAA reports the current average cost for a gallon of unleaded gas has dropped by a penny from a week ago to $2.97.  That downturn reflects a three cent drop in the past month.

Some big labor news over the weekend - by an overwhelming majority, OPEIU, Local 153 membership voted to ratify a new three-year contract with BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York.  This will maintain their labor agreement through April 25, 2022.  The new agreement includes annual wage increases to bargaining unit members, while maintaining the current benefit offerings outlined in the contract through the term of the extension.

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center has awarded EnergyMark of Williamsville a two-year natural gas supply agreement, extending its current business relationship with the natural gas supplier.  EnergyMark will supply natural gas to Roswell Park and its research laboratories and related facilities in Downtown Buffalo.

At its annual Harvest dinner last week, PLANT WNY named Carolyn Stanko as their 2018 Person the Year.  The group also naming Murray Brothers Nurseries as their 2018 Business of the Year.
