Proposed Rate Hike

National Grid has filed a proposal to hike electricity and natural gas delivery prices beginning in April 2018.  The increase would result in total monthly bill impacts of $11.23, or 13.9 percent for a residential electricity customer using 600 kilowatt-hours.  Total bill impacts for residential gas customers would be $10.38, or 14.9 percent.

The Buffalo Bills announced a new dynamic ticket pricing model for all Bills home games in the 2017 regular season that will adjust ticket prices to better reflect demand throughout the season.  The new pricing plan categorizes each game into one of five pricing tiers to determine the initial box office price for individual game tickets. Games are categorized based on the opponent and time of the year.

East Aurora's Moog Corporation released second quarter earnings results.  Diluted earnings per share came in at eighty-eight cents per share - up 4% from a year ago.  Pre-tax earnings were up 19% from a year ago.

Kenmore Mercy was the only hospital in Western New York to receive national recognition for excellence in nursing from the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Magnet Recognition Program®.
