The Chapel has purchased the former MovieLand 8 Cinemas at Thruway Plaza for a reported $1.3 million.  Business First reports the deal gives The Chapel a permanent home for its suburban congregation, after years of renting theaters inside the Walden Galleria.

Wheatfield Local Development Corp. has been awarded a $750,000 grant that will be used to seed the startup of Big Thunder Brewing Company.  As noted by Business First, Big Thunder is a craft microbrewery and pub that will serve as an anchor for the proposed redevelopment of the former Summit Park Mall.

A job fair with Lyft will take place on Tuesday at The Buffalo Employment & Training Center, located at 77 Goodell Street in Buffalo.  The Lyft job fair will be held from 4-7pm.  Driver candidates need to bring a driver’s license, vehicle registration and proof of insurance.
