Gas Prices Still Steady Here

According to the AAA, the local price for a gallon of unleaded gas in the Buffalo-Niagara Falls region is still sticking at $2.19.  That price is sixty-seven cents lower than the cost a year ago.

A $30 million residential development plan from Norstar Development USA L.P., in partnership with the Western New York Veterans Housing Coalition Inc., is in the works.  According to Business First, the proposal is to renovate the former Buffalo School 57 building at 75 Howard St. into a 65-unit apartment building for low-to-moderate income level veterans and non-veterans.

VA Western New York Healthcare System’s Niagara Falls VA Clinic is opening July 20th, in a new location at 1300 Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls.  The new Niagara Falls VA Clinic will provide a full range of onsite and telehealth services for Veterans, including primary care, mental health, laboratory, and women’s health services.

Pulp 716 Coffee & Comics, of both North Tonawanda and Lockport, has been nominated for the 2020 Will Eisner Spirit of Comics Award.  The award, which is the comic industry's equivalent of a Golden Globe, is given to artists, writers, publishers, and one comic shop annually.
