Gas Prices Lower Once Again

The decline in local gas prices continues - this time the price for a gallon of unleaded in Western New York has dropped two cents in the past week to $2.54.  According to the AAA, gas prices here have fallen eight cents in the past month.

Violet Realty Inc., which owns the Main Place Mall in Buffalo, has proposed a $75 million makeover.  As reported by Business First, the idea is to turn the nearly empty mall into an urban information and technology hub.  The plan also includes renovation of the Main Street exterior and a large scale food hall and roof garden/outdoor lounge.

Ellicottville Brewing Co. has acquired the Empire Brewing Co. brand.  Business First reports financial terms were not publicly announced.  The purchase allows Ellicottville Brewing Co. to expand its products into the New York City market.

Tops will hold a ribbon cutting tomorrow at 11am for its newly-renovated store at 9660 Transit Road in East Amherst.  The $3 million renovation is the eighth renovation for the supermarket chain over the past year.
