Gas Lower Still

Locally, gas prices are still slowly falling.  The AAA reports the current average for a gallon of unleaded gas in the Buffalo metro region is down one penny from last week's price to $2.56.  A year ago, the gas price was $2.50 for a gallon of unleaded.

The Buffalo and Erie County Industrial Land Development Corp. is seeking bids from potential developers along a portion of Route 5 and the Dona Street Extension in Lackawanna.  The ILDC acquired the land three years ago and did remediation work on about 150 acres.  Business First reports the ILDC is hoping to attract private sector-backed development interest, following a similar build out at the Buffalo Lakeside Commerce Park.

Business First notes that People Inc. has officially filed paperwork with the state Department of Health  regarding its plan to move from its current Elmwood Avenue site near Hinman to the Uniland Development Co. mixed-use project at the corner of Elmwood and Hertel Avenues.

Late last week, ECMC officially unveiled its new main entrance and the “Russell J. Salvatore Atrium.”
