Father and son - both named Richard Gioia - have formed a new capital investment firm called Gioia Capital.  The firm's stated focus will be on acquiring and managing local, family-owned businesses through a unique shared-service model.

Thin Man Brewery will represent Buffalo at tomorrow's first annual Pro Football Hall of Fame Craft Beef Fest at Canton, Ohio.  The brewery is unveiling a special beer called “12+83=6.”  That's in tribute to Andre Reed’s induction speech when he told the audience that Jim Kelly’s number 12 plus his number 83 often equaled 6 points.

WellNow Urgent Care has added Department of Veterans Affairs TriWest to its network of accepted insurance plans.  Through this partnership, WellNow Urgent Care has been named a VA-authorized urgent care provider where veterans can receive treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses.

James Newman has joined the Buffalo Office of commercial real estate firm Hanna Commercial Real Estate.  The addition of Newman will increase the firm’s commercial agents locally to nineteen.
