Development group Buffalo Freight House LLC is working with ECIDA staff on sales and mortgage recording tax breaks that may amount to slightly more than $70,000.  Business First reports the ECIDA will hold a July 2nd public hearing on the request and the agency’s full board will likely vote on the tax breaks later next month.

Bob Zak, president of Merchants Insurance, is the new chair of Invest Buffalo Niagara - the nonprofit, privately-funded economic development organization representing the eight counties of Western New York Michael O’Brien, senior vice president of KeyBank, is treasurer for the group.

Kyle Samuel has been named an M&T Bank senior vice president and president of M&T Insurance Agency Inc.   John Rumschik has been appointed vice chair of M&T Insurance Agency.

ECMC Corporation has announced that President & CEO Thomas J. Quatroche Jr. has been appointed to the Board of Directors of America’s Essential Hospitals.
