It was a very active year for the Erie County Industrial Development Agency.  Year-end numbers obtained by Business First show directors approved tax breaks and incentives for 27 projects.  Those projects represented investments totaling nearly $485 million, while creating 444 new full-time jobs and another 118 part-time positions.

A start-up craft brewery is on the way to a 14,000-square-foot building at the corner of Military Road and Skillen Street.  Business First reports Buffalo attorney and developer Thomas Eoannou has leased a portion of the site to the Froth Brewing Co., a start-up craft brewery that could be serving its first beers later this year.

Steve Finch has joined AAA Western and Central New York as Senior Vice President of Automotive Services.  Finch was previously Plant Manager at General Motors Tonawanda Engine Plant.

The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum's Education Director Megan Hahin will be awarded "the Engaging Communities" award.  That's for their "STEM Classes" - as part of the Museum Association of New York’s 2018 conference "Visioning Change."
