According to a regulatory filing, M&T Bank has agreed to pay $146 million for the right to service a residential mortgage loan portfolio with an outstanding balance of $13.3 billion.  Business First notes that deal closed January 31st.  The loans to be serviced are expected to transfer to M&T’s system during the second quarter.

Deaf Access Services recently voted to become an affiliate of People Inc.  As an affiliate of People Inc., Deaf Access Services will continue to provide services through their experienced staff and interpreters.

Big Dog Strategies, a national Republican consulting firm with offices in Buffalo and Washington, D.C., has announced Matt Langston as a new partner.  Langston will head Big Dog Strategies’ new office in Austin, Texas.

Launch NY, Upstate's first and only venture development organization, has received a $300,000 grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration through the 2018 Regional Innovation Strategies program competition.  The grant will go toward launch of the Investor Network, a new financing program to fuel Upstate NY’s most promising startups.

Invest Buffalo Niagara is representing WNY at the upcoming Restaurants Canada Show scheduled for Feb. 24th-26th in Toronto, Ontario.  This gathering is one of North America’s premier foodservice and hospitality industry events.
