Plenty of restaurant news near the heart of downtown Buffalo.  According to Business First, there are a few new additions to developer Rocco Termini's 27 Chandler Street culinary incubator.  Just opened or about to open are Waxlight Bar a Vin, Bloom and The Rose, Dark Rose Deli and Southern Junction.   Further out from the city, BriteSmith Brewery at 5609 Main Street in Williamsville is open and serving craft beers.

Fifteen local construction companies led by Arc Building Partners have joined forces to support the Warm Up Western New York initiative.  It was launched by Senator Tim Kennedy to help collect 10,000 donated blankets for young patients at Oishei Children’s Hospital.
