Cheektowaga, NY (WBEN) The Erie County Water Authority says a water main break is affecting service at a Cheektowaga senior living facility.

The ECWA says it experienced a water main break on a 24-inch transmission main early this afternoon along Cayuga Creek Road in the Town of Cheektowaga. An ECWA repair crew was dispatched to the location to begin repairs on the break. The break has been isolated and crews are actively working on the repair.

The ECWA adds residents of Peregrine Senior Living in Cheektowaga will be experiencing a service disruption until the transmission main is repaired and back in service. Peregrine Senior Living has been alerted of the service interruption and has informed its residents. Additional residents in the immediate area of the break may experience low or no water pressure.
