BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - An underground explosion in an alley caused a manhole cover to be blown off on Chippewa Street on Saturday morning.

The incident happened after 7 a.m. between Pearl and Franklin Streets. National Grid officials said the explosion was caused by an underground wiring issue. The explosion didn't cause any injuries though there were reports to damage to some buildings in the area.
