Tonawanda, NY (WBEN) Last week, Town of Tonawanda Police tested the sale of liquid nicotine (tobacco) products to an underage decoy at all four of the designated ‘Vape Shops’ within the Town of Tonawanda. They say two violated state laws.

Police cited Chain Vapors; 894 Brighton Road in the Town of Tonawanda and Yeti Vape; 2327 Sheridan Drive in the Town of Tonawanda. State law bans the sale of tobacco or nicotine products to persons less than eighteen years of age.

Employees at both of the locations were issued appearance tickets. Fines for underage tobacco or nicotine product sales range from $300 to $1,000 for a first-time offense.  Repeat offenders also face possible suspension or revocation of their licenses.

The employees from both locations are due in Town of Tonawanda Court before Judge Gruber on March 6th, at 5:30pm.
