Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Buffalo Firefighters have spent Thursday's midday hours dealing with a two alarm blaze on Perry St.

The initial call came after 12:30pm for a fire at 781 Perry. That fire spread next door to 779 and then spread to a third building. A fourth building also caught fire.

Fire crews say roofing materials between two homes caught fire, and flames spread quickly

While fire crews have had to take defensive stances at times dealing with the blaze, there have been no reports of injuries.

The fire scene is close to the 190 downtown, and has affected traffic. The 190 south Smith St. exit ramp is closed, and backups at one point were reported to Elm.
