City of Tonawanda, NY (WBEN) - It was a normal Saturday morning on the City of Tonawanda streets until a tractor-trailer hit a fire-hydrant and dragged two, 1000 lb. boulders a mile down the road.

66-year-old Sameal Daniels of Buffalo was issued a summons for improper turn, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to use the truck route.

Police say he cut a corner too sharp at Niagara Street and Two Mile Creek Road, hitting the fire-hydrant and somehow getting the two large boulders lodged underneath his rig.

Daniels reportedly told police he didn't know he was dragging boulders until he was pulled over, but he says he did notice the truck was driving awkwardly.

No reports of injuries in the incident.
