Niagara Falls, NY (WBEN) Niagara Falls has a travel advisory up until further notice.

The city is asking residents stay off the roads and avoid unnecessary travel when possible. Those who are traveling are asked to exercise extreme caution, saying the potential for ice accumulation can cause dangerous driving conditions. Special care should be given when traveling on bridges and on overpasses or underpasses.

Mayor Paul Dyster says the Department of Public Works continue their efforts to clear and salt roadways throughout the evening and overnight into Saturday.
