NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y.(WBEN) -  The Niagara County Department of Health announced that a local restaurant worker has tested positive for the Hepatitis A virus. The employee works at a Taco Bell located on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Niagara Falls, and has since been sent home sick.

The manager has been advised by the NCDOH to have any other workers, who may be experiencing Hepatitis A symptoms, evaluated before returning to work. The Taco Bell location will be subjected to further inspection within the coming weeks.

NCDOH is advising anyone who ate from this location between November 21, 2019 and December 1, 2019 to receive the free Hepatitis A vaccine.

"We encourage those who may have been exposed in this specific timeframe to visit the Point of Dispensing to receive free post exposure prophylaxis" Niagara County Public Health Director, Daniel J. Stapleton said.

The vaccine is available Thursday and Friday from 9AM to 4PM at the Doris W. Jones Family Resource Building, 3001 Ninth Street, Niagara Falls, NY, 14305.

Pre-registration for the vaccine is available here.
