Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - On an almost daily basis, victims of clergy abuse within the Diocese of Buffalo are coming forward and telling their stories.  During a week in which we saw Bishop Malone discuss the priest abuse scandal in detail with WBEN and release a video apology, three more news conferences with local victims of abuse were held.

Friday, one of those victims sat down in studio with Bauerle and Bellavia on WBEN to tell his story in detail.

Black Rock native Gary Astridge publicly announced his experience in dealing with clergy sexual abuse as a child. He alleged he was abused by Father Edward Townsend, who taught at Cardinal Dougherty High School.

"I repressed all the information and things that happened to me," Astridge said. "I came to the realization when I was in my 40's and I did report it do the dioceses in 2006. They sent me a letter apologizing and (offered services). I actually met with them but no resolve, really. Every time this comes up...it triggers something and deeply affects me."
