A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is posted for the region through Thursday evening.

"The chance for a tornado is not zero for later today," says WBEN/7 First Alert meteorologist Aaron Mentkowski.  Mentkowski says the isolated chance for a tornado across the region is at about 5 percent.

After a breather from the heat and humidity this week, muggy and stifling conditions will return into the weekend with increased humidity and temps around 90 degrees.
