Tonawanda, NY (WBEN) Late Thursday afternoon, Stormy Daniels' appearance in Western New York was abruptly canceled. The town's supervisor prior to the cancellation didn't think the evet was going to be that big of a deal.

Dainels' attorney informed the owner of NY Showgirls because of security concerns, Daniels would not appear this weekend. She also called off shows in New Jersey for the same reason.

"I hadn't received any correspondence from residents or business owners," says Tonawanda Town Supervisor Joe Emminger, who noted we were the first to bring this up.

He believes the country may have grown tired of Daniels' claims to have received $130,000 to keep quiet about her alleged affair with President Trump. "Maybe if it were three or four months ago, right after her story broke, maybe you would've had more people coming. Now that it's the middle of summer, it's not that big of a deal," says Emminger.

Town of Tonawanda Police had issued a statement saying they were "aware that she will be performing at this venue, and we are prepared to answer any calls for police service in an effective and professional manner."

The owner of NY Showgirls says shows will be rescheduled, and refunds will be offered to those who bought tickets in advance.
