Sterling, NY (WBEN) Each year, from July until August, a portion of Sterling, NY becomes 16th Century Elizabethan England. The Sterling Renaissance Festival offers visitors a wide variety of performances that capture the imagination and transports visitors to a time when knights roamed the countryside.

The festival is home to a multitude of performers who not only take the stage but roam the Village of Warwick, treating attendees to a day of laughter and amazement. There are jugglers, acrobats, archers and even a full armored joust.

There are artisans from across the nation offering a wide variety of one-of-a-kind crafts and of course there is plenty to eat and drink, from giant turkey legs to mead.

Be sure to check the festival schedule as there are a number of themed weekends to choose from including Family Appreciation Weekend, AleFest Weekend and Pirate Invasion Weekend.
