Sunday's St. Patrick's Day Parade along Delaware Avenue begins at 2 p.m. The parade itself will go from Niagara Square to North Street.

Buffalo Police will begin to close roads around 11 a.m. at Niagara Square and go north up Delaware Avenue.

"We're going to have a significant police presence out to ensure the safety of everybody to come out and have a good time," Buffalo Police Chief Joseph Gramaglia said. "We will be bike racking off Chippewa Street between Franklin and Delaware. We will not allow pedestrian or vehicular traffic. We're going to keep people off the streets and confined to the sidewalk. We feel it will provide for a safer experience."

Police will be on hand for crowd control and they will enforce open container laws.
