(WBEN)  Lake effect snow totals were significant across much of the western southerin tier following a lake effect snow blast.

With the significant lake snow in the rear view mirror, now a round of frigid cold will impact all of Western New York before temperatures moderate later in the week.

The National Weather Service says high pressure building across the area will bring a period of quiet weather Wednesday through Thursday. Temperatures in 30s on Wednesday, will rise into the upper 30s to lower 40s by Thursday.
