Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - For nearly twenty years as a television staple in Buffalo, WGRZ anchorman Scott Levin is trading  in the 'tough questions' to be 'on his own side' and return to the business world.  The move, according to a Facebook post by Levin, is to give him more time to spend with his family.  In the post, Levin also cites recent health issues for his wife, Lisa.

Levin is leaving the tv spotlight to take on a management role with the West Herr Automotive Group in Buffalo.  "I'm excited to join a company that has been in WNY for over sixty years and shares my values for employees, customers, and the community", Levin said on his Facebook post.

Levin will anchor his last newscast on WGRZ May 24th following the May ratings sweeps period.

Following is what Levin posted on his Facebook page:

Hello Facebook Friends, I wanted to let you know that I will be leaving my job here at WGRZ May 24'th after nearly two decades in the anchor chair to pursue another career in the business world, which will allow me to spend more time with my family ( i hear they are wonderful people ) and fill my entrepreneurial appetite! It has been a true honor and privilege to report the news of WNY'ers over the last two decades... and I THANK YOU the viewers for letting me into your home each night and trusting me to deliver the news without any agenda at all. It's no secret, broadcasting is a tough business... getting home at midnight every night for two decades can take a toll, and recent health issues with my wife have made me realize that nothing is more valuable than spending time with ones family. I feel confident that WGRZ is in good hands and will continue to be the news leader in WNY... and I'm proud to say that I played a small part in the stations success over the last two decades and it feels good to leave on top!

To all my co-workers... reporters, producers, photographers, editors, engineers and management I say THANK YOU... you are an incredibly talented group of people whom I was honored to work with... you made my job much easier and are the real reason for the stations success. Finally a big thank you to my partner Maryalice... the consummate professional who always made me look better than I really was!

As for my future... I may be leaving broadcasting, but I will still be in "WEST-HERR New York". That's right, I have accepted a management position with WEST-HERR Automotive Group, the largest automotive vehicle retailer in New York. I'm excited to join a company that has been in WNY for over sixty years and shares my values for employees, customers, and the community. Being ranked the Best X-Large Company to work for 13 years in a row by Buffalo Business First is a bonus, and I look forward to what God has planned for my future with such an amazing company.

Finally to my family, thanks for allowing me to fulfill my broadcasting dreams and supporting me the whole way. And to Lisa my amazing wife... thanks for tucking the kids in every night, driving them to dance, or making Dinner for them without me being there... our children are lucky to have such an amazing mom!

God Bless!
