BUFFLAO, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Buffalo Sabres introduced Rasmus Dahlin as a member of the team Monday.

The 18-year-old swedish defenseman will wear #26 for the blue and gold.

Dahlin, who for months has been the projected number one pick in the NHL Draft is excited to finally play for his team.

"I'm so motivated to win hockey games," Dahlin said. "I will bring everything I can to this team."

General Manager Jason Botterill says the pressure Dahlin is receiving to be asked to turn around the franchise by himself is not the case.

"He doesn't need to be the savior," Botterill said. "He can grow together with our team."

Dahlin will be on the ice with the Sabres for the first time Wednesday at the HarborCenter for the team's development camp.
