Sabres Fall To Penguins 5-4

First two periods feature lots of goals

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - Sam Reinhart busts out with a three point game, Kane and Eichel get goals, but the Sabres couldn't hang on against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Penguins and Sabres traded scoring with seven goals between the first two periods.  Phil Kessel got the sole, game-tying goal in the third.

Conor Sheary scored 16 seconds into overtime giving the Penguins the win 5-4.

Not only did the first two periods feature lots of scoring, there were lots of penalties as well. Most of them went to Buffalo.

There were no penalties in the third.

Jack Eichel dropped the gloves as he and Evander Kane stood up for Sam Reinhart who was laid out with an open-ice hit in the first.

The Sabres play the Red Wings in Detroit on Friday.
