Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - In their second home game of the week, the Buffalo Sabres beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 3-1.

Highlights of the game include Brendan Guhle's first NHL point, 44 saves by Linus Ullmark in his season debut, and Jack Eichel's 18th goal of the season.

The wins come on heels of a tension-filled practice Wednesday, where a couple players were involved in scuffles.

Ullmark said after the game "I was just so happy we pulled it off. It's been tough for the guys up here."

The Sabres don't play again until January 18 when they take on the New York Rangers.  They get a five day bye-week, which is mandated by the current CBA.
