Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - The Buffalo Sabres are looking for a way to pay back season ticket holders who have grown frustrated at the lack of resale value their tickets have held in recent years.

In a letter to season ticket holders, the team said that they will be rolling out new benefits for the 2018-19 season, including a 'Season Ticket Holder Exchange Program.' The program will allow ticket holders to return tickets to the team in exchange for points that may be used in an 'exclusive store.' Further details were not provided.

"We've received a lot of feedback this season about the Season Ticket Holder experience," said Sabres VP of Tickets and Service John Sinclair in the letter. "Based on what we heard, we came up with several new benefits."

In addition to the exchange program, the team announced that season ticket holders will receive lower pricing on select concession menu items, a practice that is carried out in other arenas throughout the league. The team also said that it will re-structure its My One Buffalo benefits to add more discounts through the Bills and 716 Food and Sport.

The team finished the letter by reminding ticket holders that their first payment is due June 6.
